  • We kindly ask that you complete any necessary safety checks on gas appliances (if applicable), unplug or reduce electricity to all small appliances, and crate or remove any pets from the premises so our cleaning professionals can safely access every area of your space.

    You should make sure the areas you’d like thoroughly cleaned are free from personal items, moving boxes, and trash or debris. We recommend concealing loose items like clothing or toys in closets or bin space, and clearing floors to be cleaned of all moveable items.

  • Yes! If one is available, this would help ensure that our cleaning professionals do not miss any key areas that would prevent you from failing a security deposit assessment or closing agreement.

    Many times, move-out services include tasks that our regular cleaning services do not such oven cleaning, and the discarding of food or personal items from refrigerators, pantries, basement areas or cabinets.

    Please inform Maid Gem and your cleaning team if there are any special cleaning requests mandated by your move-out agreements so that we can schedule the best service that meets your needs, and provide you with an accurate service estimate.

    *Please note, we do not provide carpet cleaning services at this time.

  • A move-out cleaning typically includes the following cleaning tasks:

    Thorough cleaning of all counters, cabinets, and appliances

    Cleaning bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, and showers

    Mopping floors and vacuuming carpets

    Wiping down light switches and doorknobs

    Disposing of any food items in fridge or pantry

    Deep-cleaning the oven and microwave

    *For homes and spaces that are well-loved or need extra care, it may be necessary to tidy up your home before we arrive so all areas are accessible.
